Namaste the Stigma Away | Charity Event Planning

THE OBJECTIVE

The objective for Namaste the Stigma Away 2019 was to raise awareness and money for the Florida Lawyers Assistance Program, a non-profit organization that provides programs and services to assist attorneys, judges, law students, and other legal professionals suffering from depression and other mental illnesses.

 

THE DETAILS

 We hosted this event at the Yoga Joint located in Davie, Florida on Saturday October 5, 2019 from 6pm to 9pm. The purpose of this event was to bring together an amazing group of people who all share the same passion, to raise money and awareness for the Florida Lawyers Assistance Program. 

Attendees were able to shop the Vendor Village throughout the entire event which included local vendors such as Blue Frog Apparel, Gaia Love, Be the Light Malas, Tree of India, Clean Juice and Ellie Jay. Fresh Kitchen was setup and in attendance with a plethora of items from their delicious menu. Attendees had the option to participate in a 45 minute Yin Fusion Flow class or a Core Fit class. 

The evening wrapped up with a heart driven speech by Hilary Cassel, the founder of the annual Namaste The Stigma Away event. To officially end the evening we had a raffle that included items from local businesses such as Zen Mind Space, Buddha Sky Pants, Fresh Kitchen, Jypsea Local and many more.

The evening was filled with laughter, meaningful conversations and a lot of sweat! The vendors enjoyed showcasing their products at such an impactful event for the community. We are so thrilled we were able to capture the evening with a videographer and look forward to showcasing that video EVERYWHERE to raise awareness!

  • Online Donations: $1,488

  • Online Ticket Sales: $3,050

At-Event Dollars Raised

  • Raffle: $475

  • Vendor 5% contribution

Total Raised: $5,038 

Last year ticket sales: $3,800 (no donations pre-event)
