We like being helpful. And we like when apps like being helpful too – especially when it comes to managing our marketing endeavors. Here are five of our favorite FREE apps for marketing management.
In the world of managing social media – planning is key. Buffer is our #1 favorite for doing just that. Our bae, if you will. Buffer makes it easy to switch between social accounts, schedule posts and post to multiple social channels at the same time! But woah, woah – don’t forget, you still need to engage with your fan base!
*Pro-tip. Maintaining a consistent brand identity on social media is super important. Translation: post at the same times – daily. Figure out what times your audience engages with you the most, and make sure that’s when you’re posting.
When it comes to tasks and staying on top of them, we’re very OCD. Trello eases our anxiety by allowing us to organize our projects into boards. Best part: one glance at the board and you can see what’s being worked on, who’s working on what and how far along you are in the project. A+ tool for personal, professional or whatever we want. (Not ashamed to admit that one of us has a grocery list board).
Your email list isn’t something you use just because you can and it’s easy. Email marketing is one of the top tools you need to be using to keep you and your consumers connected.
Oh, trusty ole Mailchimp. Beginner to email marketing? Mailchimp. Not a beginner to email marketing? Mailchimp. Mailchimp is the best place to start for email marketing. So easy, a monkey could do it (lol see what we did there).
Let’s face it. No one is perfect. You can have 2, 3, 4 people proofreading your work and you may all miss 1 grammar problem. Why not let a bot take a look at it too?
Grammarly is a free grammar checker, and it does a phenomenal job. Never worry about sending a grammar mistake/ typo again to your 1000+ email list. Because let’s face it – that’s embarassing.

Google apps is there for you. Write your content in Google Docs. Keep track of finances in Google Sheets. Create reporting presentations in Google Slides. Collect market research in Google Forms. Save all of your photos and organize all of your documents in Google Drive.
